Kulfi

Kulfi is a traditional Panjabi and Indian frozen dessert, loved for its rich, creamy texture and delicate nutty flavour. Made with condensed milk, cream and evaporated milk, this simple no-cook recipe is perfect for warm summer days, family gatherings and festive occasions. Garnished with almonds and pistachios, Kulfi is a refreshing treat enjoyed by both children and adults.

*****INGREDIENTS*****
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
    1 can cream
    1 can evaporated milk
    20 almonds, finely chopped
    20 pistachios, finely chopped
A few drops of kewra water or rose water (optional)
*****INSTRUCTIONS*****
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream, evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

  2. Taste the mixture and, if preferred, adjust the sweetness by adding a little more or less condensed milk.

  3. Stir in half of the chopped almonds and pistachios, mixing evenly throughout.

  4. Pour the mixture into a cake tin or a freezer-safe container and spread it evenly.

  5. Freeze for 4–6 hours, or until the Kulfi is completely set and firm.

  6. Before serving, sprinkle over the remaining chopped almonds and pistachios.

  7. If using, add a few drops of kewra water or rose water for a delicate floral aroma.

Slice or scoop the Kulfi and serve straight from the freezer for a deliciously creamy and refreshing dessert.
